Melissa - Chair

Melissa holds a Master’s of Social Work degree and has over 10 years of experience across multiple community organizations. She is known for strong rapport-building and ethical judgment, and her career has been dedicated to helping individuals and families build resilience, restore stability, and achieve lasting recovery.

Dylan - Treasurer

Dylan works at the City of Ottawa, where he leads business support services and strategic initiatives that enhance municipal operations. With more than 15 years of experience in public administration, Dylan has held progressive leadership roles at the City.

Jeremiah - Vice Chair

Jeremiah- is an Associate Lawyer he practices family law and provides legal guidance to clients navigating separations, divorce, and related matters. With more than 8 years of experience in the legal field, Jeremiah is known for his advocacy, attentive client service, and ability to negotiate resolutions while supporting clients through complex personal legal matters. He was previously a case management and court outreach worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Candice

Candice is a legal professional based in Ottawa with experience in law practice and advocacy. She holds a law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia and has worked in legal services, including associate-level practice and community advocacy roles. Known for her commitment to access to justice and client support, Candice combines her legal expertise with a collaborative approach to serving clients and advancing equitable outcomes in her work.

Nisse

Nisse currently a DEIA Advisor for the federal government. She is a researcher and community advocate based in Ottawa, with roots in academic inquiry into Indigenous regulation, colonialism, and social justice. Nisse has also been involved with community health and advocacy initiatives, including collaborating on violence against women and community support efforts in the Ottawa area.

Alison

Alison is Vice President, Human Resources at a large not for profit federation in Canada, where she leads HR strategy and people-centred initiatives that support employee engagement, performance and organizational culture. With extensive experience in human resources leadership, Alison focuses on talent management, training, and performance development to help maintain a positive workplace and deliver value to members and staff alike.

Yosief

Yosief is a Case Management Officer with the Government of Canada. In this role, they support consular and legal case management for international regions, contributing to the delivery of government services and support to Canadians abroad. With experience in government operations and client-focused service delivery, Yosief applies strong analytical and communication skills to complex case work and cross-departmental coordination.
