Our Team

Our Team consists of

Executive Director

Leads the organization’s mission to prevent homelessness and support tenants in securing and maintaining affordable housing. She provides strategic leadership, oversees programs like eviction prevention and housing support, manages staff and resources, and represents the organization in public and policy discussions to advocate for housing solutions.

Intake Worker

is the first point of contact for clients seeking housing support. They assess each person’s situation, provide information about available services, refer clients to the right programs, and collect essential information to ensure follow-up support. Book appointments with caseworkers and Paralegals when necessary.

Housing Caseworkers

Work directly with clients to prevent homelessness and maintain stable housing. They assess individual needs, help people look online if they’re unable to do so on their own. Intervene in housing crises, advocate with landlords, connect clients to community resources, and provide ongoing support to ensure housing stability.

Paralegals

They typically provide legal advice, information, and representation on matters like landlord-tenant disputes, eviction processes, tenants’ rights, and issues at the Landlord and Tenant Board. Paralegals help prepare documents, explain legal options, support clients in hearings or negotiations, and connect them with legal resources to protect housing stability. They assess each case for merit and adequate timing to prepare; they may refuse to represent a case based upon this information.

Rooming House Community Worker

Build and maintain relationships with Rooming House owners, property managers, and the community, providing support, referrals, and information on rights, responsibilities, and resources to stabilize situations before escalation. Conduct property visits, report deficiencies, and collaborate on action plans. Chair the Rooming House Information Exchange Network (RHIEN) to resolve sector issues, refer tenants needing support, and advance community development initiatives.
